GERMANY · CHAPTER 7

The real costof studying in Germany.

At most public universities you pay only the semester contribution (about €150–400, often including a transport ticket). Plan €1,000–1,300 a month for living costs, including statutory health insurance of roughly €140 a month for students, and more in Munich.
