How this source review works

These country summaries draw on official pages and clearly labelled search listings. The programme research desk provides published tuition and dates. Individual admission decisions, fee exceptions and visa eligibility depend on the applicable requirements. This is a dated editorial review, not a live sync of every university catalogue.

Ireland / Admissions

Approved programme and provider

For non-EEA/non-Swiss students studying longer than three months, check that the programme is eligible under the current immigration framework. The provider sets academic and English requirements. Confirm the current approved listing before payment.

Ireland / Programmes

Understand the award level

Check the National Framework of Qualifications level, course content, duration and progression. The qualification level matters for both academic progression and any later graduate permission.

Ireland / Costs

Finance requirement and the full study budget

APPLIES · Requirements applying from 30 June 2025

For one-year courses, current official guidance requires access to €10,000 for living support. Visa-required applicants must also show access to this level for subsequent years, in addition to course fees. Shorter courses have different figures.

APPLIES · 2026 call information; current opening status must be checked

HEA publishes the 2026 Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship call and FAQs. Review the relevant year’s documents and institution conditions. A published historical call is not evidence that applications are still open.
